Royal tea as a queen

So when your good friend Kayla invites you to her 5th birthday royal tea ....

And you feel drawn to Goodwill and find the perfect dress-up outfit for you in five minutes. ...

And you are experienced at playing make BElieve....

and another friend makes amazing, childfriendly royal flags ...

you realize being fifty years older than your young friend has perks ... you get to be Queen for an afternoon.

I was never a pure girly girl with frills and bows. But I loved to play dress-up and make believe.  As the youngest child, seven years after my closest sibling, i often played alone with my dolls and somewhat imaginary friends inside my eclectic  childhood home and on walks in the woods surrounding the nearby river. I had one tattered princess dress  and I wore it to dance alone in the living room and climb trees on the river bank. But thankfully the opportunity to play is not limited to childhood (especially if you have amazing young friends).

So grateful for my friend  Kayla who dances with me and believes more for me and frequently reminds me, "JOY is fun!" Jln, 11-25-18
