"Being well rested in living"

"Be well rested. Does this wisdom for every day living feel like a joke to you as much as it often does to me.?

If you don't want to get sick ... be well rested.

If you want to perform optimally ... be well rested.

If you are going through transitions, in the process, navigate them by ... being well rested.

At a recent doctor visit for shingles, my doctor asked one simple question. "Joy, are you stressed?"

Are you kidding me, am I breathing? Is life in and of itself stressful? Life is stress, right? Or is stress a result of what I think as I live my eventful life? As this maturing body shows more intolerance of bad thoughts and beliefs about living, I am realizing that being well rested is wisdom. I am also realizing that rest is not inactivity but consciously being present IN the One Who is my Peace and my rest in my living. Rest is a believing  state of being in my doing.

So I looked once again at my cat Shiloh (actually the name of a resting place for the ark of the covenant) and ponder other ways to be present in Peace, to be aware of my resting place in my daily living.

Today, I choose to practically practice being present IN Love, IN Peace starting with regularly, intentionally, deeply inhaling and saying thank You Spirit for being my breath."

"My cat Shiloh is Simply RESTing. Being purrfectly Content."

"Actually Shiloh quickly abandoned this new cat bed I bought to sprawl on the entirety of my bed as her resting place. Shiloh knows what she needs. Shiloh will be intentional to find a place to rest frequently throughout the day."

"Am I? Do I intentionally recenter myself in my seat of being in rest throughout my day? Do I remember Peace is the trustworthy One in Whom I live and move and have my being so rest is always available for me. Am I BrEathIN deeply, intentionally remembering Who is IN me and IN Whom I am?"

"Have I entered and

am I remaining on my SEAT of REST

being IN CHRIST today? '

It (His work) is finished' In Him,

I have rest.  Am I RESTING IN HIM?"

Am I believing, being in a state of rest, in my doing? In my living?"

"So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, for whoever has entered God's rest has also rested from his works as God did from his." Hebrews 4:9-10 esv
